Dr. Naresh Maheshwari (President DPAI)

Dr. Naresh Maheshwari, FCA, FCS, FIIISLA, and doctorate in options trading, is National President of Depository Participants Association of India (DPAI) and is a former Chairman of ASIA Forum for Investor Education (AFIE). He is member of Secondary Market Advisory Committee (SMAC), SEBI. He is also a member of Working Group of Automatic Exchange of Informationand Sector Specific Working Group (SWG) for risk assessment of Securities Market, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.

A hand book for Investing & Investor Protection authored by Dr. Maheshwari, published by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, was released by Mr. D K Mittal, then Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

Dr. Maheshwariis Chairman of Farsight Group, a well known broking house of India. He is a prolific commentator on matters pertaining to Capital Market, Investors Protection and Corporate Laws in electronic and print mediaand has over 30 years of experience in the area of Corporate Laws, International Financial Markets, Regulatory Compliances and complex Legal & Business issues with special focus on securities laws, merger & amalgamations.

Dr. Maheshwari has been associated with many trade bodies and was founder and Past President of Commodity Participants Association of India (CPAI)and Past President of Association of National Exchanges Members of India (ANMI).He has represented Indian capital market in many international organizations like KOFIA Korea, ASC Thailand, MAS Singapore, various stock exchanges at Hong Kong, Shanghai (China), Korea, Bursa Malaysia, Osaka, SMX etc.Dr. Maheshwari also led Indian capital market delegation to Asian Securities Forum at Beijing and Tokyo. He has been observer in ICSA (International Council of Securities Associations) AGM-2011 at London and ICMA (International Capital Market Association) AGM-2011 at Paris.

Dr. RMCV Prasada Rao (Vice President DPAI)

Dr. RMCV Prasada Rao, a doctorate in Statistics, is Vice President of DPAI and a Managing Director of RLP Securities Pvt Ltd. He is member of Advisory Committee, Indian Clearing Corporation Limited (ICCL) and Executive member of Capital Markets, Insurance, Mutual Funds, Banking committee of Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Dr. Rao was Past President of Association of National Exchanges Members of India (ANMI) and had chaired Southern Region of Association of National Exchanges Members of India (ANMI). Prior to stock broking, Dr. Rao was an Associate Professor in AP Agricultural University, Hyderabad.

Mr. Ajay Garg (Chairman DPAI-NR)

Mr. Ajay Garg, Chairman- Northern Region, DPAI, is the Whole Time Director at SMC Group and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) having wide and rich experience of more than 18 years in securities and commodities market. His key roles & responsibilities include business development, risk management, technological up-gradation & development and administration of day to day activities at SMC Group. He played vital role in the development of SMC’s state-of-art web portal & internet based trading platform and monitors the trading operations, surveillance and the risk related thereto.

Taking care of the brand building and marketing activities of the entire Group of SMC, he also looks after SMC’s International Business focusing upon NRIs & FPIs. Mr. Garg has been recognized and rewarded for his exemplary leadership and contribution to the industry with ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award during 4th Entrepreneur India Awards, 2014 organized by Franchise India.

Ms. Jyoti Rai (Chairperson DPAI-WR)

Ms. Jyoti Rai, Chairperson of Western region (WR) of DPAI, is presently Country Head – India of ABAX Corporate services Ltd. She has over 14 years experience in Financial Markets and predominantly worked with startups. Her domain expertise lies in Business development, and project execution and formulating startegies. Working across in many verticals of financial markets from Selling CA/SAs, Broking accounts, Investment advisory, Mutual Funds selling to retail & Institution ,executing acquisition strategies for a company in India, consulting FIIs on FIPB and assisting them with penning India entry strategies in investing into commodities , being integral to the launch of Currency Derivatives in India , to custody sales to FIIs, she now consults Domestic as well as foreign entities in their cross border investment foray and creating strong ecosystem of legal , Tax and custodial firms . During her tenure of 14 yrs plus she has worked on some exciting assignments in companies like IL&FS, Reliance AMC, Reuters, MCX , MCXSX and SBISG. She is also a Member of FICCI ladies Organisation , and Swayam committee at FLO.

Mr. Arun Narayanan (Vice Chairman DPAI-WR)

Mr. Arun Narayanan, Vice Chairman of Western Region, DPAI, is presently Vice President – Operations, Wealth and Investment Management Division in Barclays Securities (India) Pvt Ltd.

He has close to two decades of work experience in Capital Market operations and Bank Operations. He has worked on companies like Asian Paints, ICICI Ltd and Yes Bank Ltd.

Mr. Vinod Kumar Goyal (Chairman DPAI-ER)

C.A. Vinod Kumar Goyal, Chairman of Eastern Region, DPAI, is a practicing Chartered Accountant and a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and holds Post Graduate Diploma in Alternative Dispute Resolution (International Commercial Arbitration) from NALSAR University, Hyderabad (INDIA). He possesses vast practical experience of 35 years in the field of Company Law, Auditing of all types and Taxation related matters. As a director of V. G. Capital Market Pvt. Ltd. for 17 years and Samaj Projects Pvt. Ltd

for 9 years, he possesses vast experience of in all the aspects related with capital markets , currency markets and commodity exchanges and is well conversant with regulatory framework in India as applicable to Companies engaged in Non-Banking Financing activities (NBFC Companies). He is also the Chairman of Hire Purchase & Lease Association (H.P.L.A.) which is the oldest Association of Hire Purchase and Lease Financing Companies in Eastern India (A member of Federation of Indian Hire Purchase Association) and was the immediate past Chairman of Eastern India regional council (EIRC) of Association of National Exchanges Members of India (ANMI) He has authored several Articles on Taxation, Company law matters and Capital Markets which have been published in journals. He is a guest speaker at CPE and other seminars organized by ICAI/ICSI/Other forums. He has organized several seminars & conferences under the aegis of ANMI, CPAI, HPLA.
